All-Night Yahtzee has undergone some changes!! We've had to say a sad goodbye to our music director, Dave Girtman, for he has graduated. However, the group must go on and Yahtzee has elected some new officers and some returning officers! Here's the line up: Music Director- PJ Wilford. Business Manager- Katherine Dew. Auditions for this upcoming year are right around the corner!! They will be held the first week of school in August. Keep checking back for more detailed information about auditions because we want you, you, and yes...even YOU to audition for us!!
There will be an FSU A Cappella informational meeting right before school starts back up where anyone interested in any of the a cappella groups at FSU can come and learn more about us. Again, please keep checking back for more information on this meeting!!
Edit: Check our our Upcoming Events section on the right side of this page! Audition information listed!
This past weekend we roadtripped up to Athens, GA for the second annual SpringSing: Voices United for a Cure a cappella competition/conference. The event is a benefit for the American Cancer Society and is put on by Team Burns. We competed and won the competition last year, and we were very proud to have won again this year! Patrick Schell also took home the award for Outstanding Vocal Percussion. Our sister group the AcaBelles took second place, as well as the awards for Outstanding Choreography and Soloist. FSU had a good night, to say the least
The weekend was also home to a MINDBLOWING concert by pro groups Business as Usual, Almost Recess, Blue Jupiter, Duwende, and Ahmir. The next day we had a fantastic masterclass with Blue Jupiter (spoiler alert: they're a cappella Einsteins) as well as workshops will all the other pro groups.
It was an amazing weekend, and all in the name of a great cause. We'll be back next year!
We also have a firm date for our Spring Concert! We'll be ending the year (as well as Dave Girtman's career with Yahtzee) on Saturday, April 24th at 8pm in Moore Auditorium. Hope to see you there!
And one final note-- our newest EP "Tessellate" is now available to download from the website! Click the "Buy Now" button on your right to get it. We hope you enjoy!
It's time for clips from the final two tracks! #5 is "To Show You My Love" by Mike Schmid (solo by outgoing senior Tyler Hardee). The closing track is "Lollipop (Shorty Wanna Hug)" by Lil Wayne and Framing Hanley (solo by Dave Girtman, lyrics by Travis Smith, Dave Girtman, and Sarah Lawrence).
Our EP release concert is just a few days away-- Friday, April 9th at 7 and 9pm. We've also added two guest groups to the show! UF's No Southern Accent will be making the trip to Tallahassee, and we'll also be featuring a performance by FSU's newest a cappella group, the A'caphiliacs. It's going to be a terrific show, so make sure you get your tickets now!

We were very excited to win our Quarterfinal of ICCA this past Saturday! Our good friends from UF's No Southern Accent took 2nd and will be advancing along with us to the Semifinal round next month in Greensboro, NC. Our sister group The AcaBelles took 3rd, and our brother group Reverb put on a great show, so it was a good night for FSU a cappella!
In addition to coming in first, we also won some special awards. Outstanding Choreography went to our very own Elizabeth Zombo, and Dave Girtman tied for Best Arrangement (for "Lay Your Head Down"). Sean Landeta of Reverb shared the best arrangement nod for "God Bless the Child." No Southern Accent took home the final two special awards, with Nic Parsons winning for Outstanding Vocal Percussion and Mallory Zuckerman winning Outstanding Soloist, both for their work on the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Phenomena." For a full list of results, go here.
We're very excited to represent FSU at semifinals. Only the group who comes in first will advance to finals at Lincoln Center in New York City, so wish us luck!
