We were very excited to win our Quarterfinal of ICCA this past Saturday!   Our good friends from UF's No Southern Accent took 2nd and will be advancing along with us to the Semifinal round next month in Greensboro, NC.  Our sister group The AcaBelles took 3rd, and our brother group Reverb put on a great show, so it was a good night for FSU a cappella!

In addition to coming in first, we also won some special awards.  Outstanding Choreography went to our very own Elizabeth Zombo, and Dave Girtman tied for Best Arrangement (for "Lay Your Head Down").  Sean Landeta of Reverb shared the best arrangement nod for "God Bless the Child."  No Southern Accent took home the final two special awards, with Nic Parsons winning for Outstanding Vocal Percussion and Mallory Zuckerman winning Outstanding Soloist, both for their work on the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Phenomena."  For a full list of results, go here.

We're very excited to represent FSU at semifinals.  Only the group who comes in first will advance to finals at Lincoln Center in New York City, so wish us luck!

Here are some things Yahtzee's been working on:

-ICCA!  Our quarterfinal is this coming Saturday (February 6th) at 8pm in Opperman Music Hall in FSU's College of Music (you can get tickets via the link on your right).  It's going to be an amazing night of a cappella music with groups from all over the state competing.  Make sure you come see what we've been working on!

-We now have a release date for our upcoming EP!  We're very excited to have James Cannon and Ed Boyer mixing the tracks, and it will be available for purchase on March 14th.

Check back next week to see how we did at ICCA-- we're very excited to show our stuff.  See you there!
